History of The GFS Group of Companies

1927 - Builders Chicago Corporation (BCC) founded.
1980 - G.F. Structures Corporation (GFS) founded by Richard C. Crandall, Jr., to specialize in fence and guardrail work
1993 - Mr. Crandall becomes President and Owner of Builders Chicago Corporation
2004 - GFS Fence Guardrail & Signage formed specializing in chain link, and ornamental fence, guardrails, and highway signage
2007 - Chicago Commercial Contractors (CCC) formed out of G.F. Structures to provide General Contracting for commercial construction
2007 - Moved Corporate Headquarters and Warehousing Facility to Huntley, Illinois
2008 - GFS Group of Companies formed.
2009 - FGS Fabrication, LLC (FGS) formed to provide customized fabrication of iron and steel components
2009 - RLM Fence, Guardrail and Signage of Florida LLC (RLM) formed to service the Southeastern United States Market
2010 - FGS Fabrication certified as an American Institute of Steel Construction fabricator (AISC)
