Richard C. Crandall, Jr. (Rick)

Started GF Structures in 1980 and purchased Builders Chicago Corporation from his family in 1993. The consummate entrepreneur, Rick has been involved with several construction ventures and was elected to the Entrepreneurs’ Hall of Fame in 1994. Rick is an astute results-oriented leader with proven success in the construction industry. He has served on the Boards of a number of associations and philanthropic organizations. He is also an active board member for the Illinois Road & Transportation Builders Association.

Rick is married and has three grown children. He enjoys fishing, hunting and golf.

Steven Roggeman

After graduating from Northern Illinois University in 1989, Steve started his career in Public Accounting and gravitated into the Construction Industry in 1993. Steve has worked with construction material fabrication, installation, and material supply companies. Steve considers one of his most important jobs to be creating a culture of accountability and performance. He spends a lot of time communicating the vision of the organization, and getting people to buy in to that vision.

Steve is married and has four children. He enjoys coaching and watching his kids’ sports teams, playing golf and reading motivational books.

Randall Farmer

Started with the company as a Guardrail Installer in 1992. Through his will to conquer any obstacle and his commitment to the success of the companies, Randy was named Executive Vice President of GFS-Fence, Guardrail & Signage, Inc., in 2007. Randy is a very driven, always working, “lead by example” individual. He simply expects and requires the same from his team.

Randy is married and has four children. He enjoys hunting, and motorcycle riding.

Frank Kutschke

Started with Chicago Commercial Contractors in 2007 as its Operations Manager. Named General Manager in 2010. Took over management responsibilities of Builders Chicago Corporation in winter of 2010. Frank is operationally focused and enjoys developing well thought out plans and executing them. Frank is process driven and a team builder.

Frank is married and has three sons. Frank enjoys coaching, playing golf, watching sporting events and outdoor recreation.
